Texas A&M and Penn State close out with victories

Both Texas A&M and Penn State, who played for the Progressive Legends Classic title in Brooklyn three days ago, close out the tournament with wins.

In College Station, D.J. Hogg recorded 18 points and nine rebounds and Tyler Davis had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead No. 16 Texas A&M to an 81-65 win over Pepperdine.

The Aggies, who scored 20 points off 12 Pepperdine turnovers, also received 15 points from Duane Wilson and 10 points from Jay Jay Chandler.

The Waves were led by Kameron Edwards and his 20-point, nine-rebound effort.

In State College, 11 different Nittany Lions scored as Penn State led from start to finish in taking an 86-48 decision from Oral Roberts.

Nazeer Bostick and Jamari Wheeler both came off the bench to score 14 points. Tony Carr posted 13 points and five assists and Josh Reaves added 10 points. As a team, the Nittany Lions shot 32-of-57 (.561) from the field.

Emmanuel Nzekwesi was the lone Oral Roberts scorer to net double figures. He tallied 11 points to go with six rebounds.
