Home teams earn Legends Classic wins

Each of the home teams earned victories in Day 2 of the 10th annual Legends Classic.

In Austin, Texas placed four players in double figures and scored 40 points in the paint in earning an 80-59 win over Louisiana-Monroe. Tevin Mack led all scorers with 14 points for the Longhorns, who also received 12 points from both Kendal Yancy and Andrew Jones, with Jones also hauling down six rebounds. Kerwin Roach Jr. scored 11 points.

ULM was led by Marvin Jean-Pierre and his 13 points. Travis Mummings had nine points and 10 rebounds.

vic-law-2015-1In Evanston, Vic Law tallied 26 points and Bryant McIntosh posted 18 points and seven assists to lead Northwestern to an 86-72 win over Eastern Washington. Scottie Lindsey had 12 points and six assists, while Derek Pardon also netted 12 points. Isiah Brown had 11 points.

Bogdan Bliznyuk led EWU with 25 points. Jacob Wiley had 19 points and Mason Peatling scored 10 points.

In Boulder, Derrick White recorded 15 points and six rebounds as Colorado fought off Seattle, 67-55. Xavier Johnson had 13 points and six rebounds, Josh Fortune scored 12 points and Wesley Gordon recorded 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Buffs.

Brendon Westendorf scored 17 points to lead Seattle.

The Legends Classic continues on Wednesday when Notre Dame hosts Seattle in a 7pm (ET) on ACC+.
